Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
Logrie ("we", "our", "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide
- Account information: When you sign in, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo from your authentication provider (Google, Apple, or email).
- Food and exercise logs: Text descriptions, voice recordings (transcribed and then discarded), and photos of meals you submit for analysis.
- Goals and preferences: Calorie and macro targets, app settings, and display preferences.
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.
- Usage data: Features used and interactions within the App for improving the user experience.
c) Guest Users
If you use Logrie without an account, your tracking data is stored locally on your device. AI-related data is still sent to third-party AI services as described in Section 3 when you use the "Log with AI" feature.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the core functionality of the App (food analysis, exercise tracking, goal monitoring).
- To sync your data across devices when signed in.
- To process food photos, voice input, and text descriptions through third-party AI services for nutritional analysis (with your consent).
- To authenticate your identity when signing in.
3. AI Processing — Third-Party AI Services
The "Log with AI" feature and the AI Insights feature send data to third-party AI services for processing. The first time you use any AI feature, the App displays an in-app consent dialog explaining this disclosure, and you must explicitly agree before any data is sent. You may revoke consent at any time from Settings → Privacy & Terms → Revoke AI consent; you will be asked again the next time you use an AI feature.
a) What is sent
- The text you type into the "Log with AI" input.
- The audio you record when using voice logging (sent to OpenAI Whisper for transcription, then to a text AI for analysis).
- The food photo you submit when using photo logging.
- Your daily calorie and macronutrient totals so the AI can tailor its tip to your day's progress.
- For weekly AI Insights: a 7-day summary of your tracked calories and macros (numbers only, no names or identifiers).
What is NOT sent: your name, email, account ID, device identifiers, location, or any data from other features (weight, water, reminders, etc.).
b) Who receives it
AI requests are routed through our Supabase server proxy and forwarded to one or more of the following providers:
- OpenAI, L.L.C. —
api.openai.com. Used for text and image analysis (GPT models) and voice transcription (Whisper). See the OpenAI Privacy Policy and OpenAI Enterprise Privacy. - Google LLC (Gemini API) —
generativelanguage.googleapis.com. Used for text and image analysis as a fallback or alternative provider. See the Gemini API Terms.
Under our API agreements with these providers, your inputs are not used to train their models. Providers may keep request logs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and then delete them.
c) Equivalent protection
OpenAI and Google are bound by their published privacy policies and our API agreements, which provide protections substantially equivalent to those described in this policy, including encryption in transit, restricted access, and a no-training commitment for API data.
4. AI Estimates — Sources & Methodology (Not Medical Advice)
Calorie and macronutrient values shown by Logrie's AI features are estimates generated by large language models based on standard public nutrition references the models were trained on. They are approximations only and are not medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your diet or health.
The references commonly used for the underlying nutrition and exercise data include:
- USDA FoodData Central — nutrient composition of foods.
- NIH Office of Dietary Supplements — vitamins, minerals, and dietary supplement information.
- World Health Organization — Healthy Diet Fact Sheet.
- Compendium of Physical Activities — metabolic equivalent (MET) values for exercise calorie burn.
- Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
5. Other Third-Party Services
In addition to the AI services in Section 3, we use the following third-party services:
- Supabase, Inc.: Authentication and cloud database storage. Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security.
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In: Used for authentication. We receive your name, email, and profile photo from these providers.
- RevenueCat, Inc.: Manages subscription state and entitlement checks for the premium tier.
- Expo / EAS: Used for app distribution and over-the-air updates.
6. Data Storage and Security
- Guest tracking data is stored locally on your device.
- Signed-in user data is stored in Supabase with row-level security policies. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Photos submitted for analysis are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.
- Voice recordings are transcribed by OpenAI Whisper and immediately discarded after the transcribed text is returned. Only the transcribed text is processed by the analysis step.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the third-party services listed in Sections 3 and 5, solely for the purpose of providing the App's functionality.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data through the App's export feature.
- Delete your data using "Delete Account" in Settings, or by emailing support@logrie.app.
- Revoke AI consent at any time from Settings → Privacy & Terms.
- Opt out of cloud sync by using the App in guest mode (note that AI features still send data to third-party AI services as described in Section 3).
9. Children's Privacy
Logrie is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Third-party AI provider request logs are retained per their respective policies (typically up to 30 days).
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes materially affect AI processing, we will re-prompt you for consent inside the App. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Contact
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at support@logrie.app.
